DaFu Assistant was written by a working rural TCM doctor in Sichuan for the way small clinics actually operate: one computer, one practitioner, long days, and no patience for software that needs the internet to think.
Guided pattern differentiation, formula and herb recall, A5 prescriptions that print on one page, and patient records — in a single program installed on your own PC.
Most clinic software asks you to adapt to it. This one was shaped by years of handwritten prescriptions, copied formula books and late-night revisions — so the order of work is the order you already think in.
Mark the symptoms, tongue and pulse you observed. The engine proposes candidate patterns, a treatment principle and matching formulas — each entry labelled with where it came from, so you can accept it, question it, or ignore it.
The prescription sheet is locked to one A5 page. Herbs, doses, decoction instructions, clinic header, fee total — nothing spills onto a second sheet, even for a fifteen-herb formula.
Every visit, prescription and follow-up stays searchable on your machine. No login, no sync prompt, no subscription check before you can see yesterday's case.
Symptom, tongue and pulse checklists feed a rule engine and a local model. You get ranked patterns with reasoning and source, not a single black-box answer.
Search classical formulas and herbs, see composition and default doses, compare related formulas side by side, and add your own entries — the library is yours to edit and back up.
Type a herb name or pick it from the list, adjust doses, switch between raw herbs and granules, add preparation notes, then print or save as PDF.
Visit history, past prescriptions and follow-up notes tied to each patient, searchable in seconds during a consultation.
A built-in reading room for medical classics, with plain-language notes beside the original text for the passages you want to check mid-consultation.
Usage summaries and learning stats are computed locally, so you can see what you actually prescribe without shipping your case mix anywhere.
Open the patient, note the chief complaint and the signs you found.
Review the suggested patterns and treatment principle; keep what fits.
Start from a formula or from scratch, tune doses, add modifications.
One A5 sheet for the patient, one record for the clinic.
DaFu Assistant is a desktop program, not a website. There is no account to create and no server that holds your patients' names. The models, the formula library and the records all live in a folder on your own hard drive.
Licences are per computer and counted in days. Prices below are in US dollars and include the same build, updates and support as the Chinese edition.
How ordering works: write to us with your clinic name and country. We reply with an invoice and accepted payment routes, then send the installer link and an activation code for your machine. Multi-room clinics: ask for a site quote.
Yes. The clinical workflow described above runs on the local machine with no internet connection. Nothing about a patient is uploaded, and there is no web dashboard holding your case files.
The interface and the classical texts are in Simplified Chinese. Practitioners who read Chinese, or clinics with Chinese-speaking staff, get the most from it immediately. Support correspondence can be handled in English, and we will tell you honestly if a feature you need is not translated yet.
There is no region lock. It runs on Windows 10 or 11 with 4 GB of RAM, prints to any standard printer, and accepts herb names in Chinese as used in classical formulas.
Every new installation starts with a 30-day full-feature trial. No card, no sign-up.
One machine per licence. If your clinic has several consulting rooms, ask for a site quote — it is cheaper than stacking single licences.
No, and it is not sold that way. It is a prescribing aid: it proposes, you decide. Every prescription remains the responsibility of the licensed practitioner who signs it.
DaFu Assistant is developed and supported by one physician, not a sales team. Questions about formulae, printing layouts or licensing go to the same inbox.
